:Waterfalls can be great additions. Safety first though, make sure the pump housing is closed in so there is no way the gecko can get to it. Also make sure the water stays clean, those pumps are not designed to filter the water, just move it.

this is true. they do get kinda slimy so it is a good idea to clean them out once a week or so.
