It is not a good idea to house animals that young together. The female should be around 14 months before you put her anywhere near a male. Breeding at a young age could be potentially harmful not to mention very stressful. Keep them apart till they are older if at all. IMO adults should only be introduced for breeding and separated the rest of the year, they thrive in these conditions.
As for that attack it was prob a feeding response. I have seen geckos at that age housed together with other geckos foots in their mouth. They are not mature enough to care about breeding at that point, so no use in housing them together. I am not sure about the tail however, it has never happened to my guys before. Give it a couple of days and see what happens.
