Keeping Cichlid in RES tank

I have a 55G tank with 2 young res. I also keep a convict cichlid and pleco. My res's completley ignore the cichlid even when he's right in front of them, they don't offer to attack this fish. The pleco on the other they harass biting tail etc, feeder fish they chase and eat when they can The pleco problem was resolved by adding large cave for the pleco to hide inside of during the day being he's nocturnal. Has anyone else kept cichlids in their tank and how was the behavior towards them from turtles. This is not a large cichlid less than twice the size of the turtles
