Man, that tank must weigh a ton! My concern with using gravel is the cleaning as the feces drain through the rock. I find removing gravel from a tank tough to do (but then, I'm really short and can't reach easily). I admit the water dishes I use are a pain as well since they require cleaning almost every day so the idea of using a filter is attractive. Do you use/require any supplemental heat other than the lamp?
