Anyone recommend a good (no, great) thermometer?

I've got multiple thermometers in my animal rooms and temps on units several feet apart can differ by up to five degrees. (And do so even if i position them next to each other).

I have the a/c and heat to control temps so I need better thermometers. Three of the wide-ranging units are the wireless remote sensors with an Oregon Scientific package, the display is kept in the main house so i can know what's happening elsewhere...or would, if they had more accuracy.

Even if i could get just one PRECISE thermometer I could mark the others' variances and do the mental math to know what the temps really are.

Recommendations?
