Well Jeff, normally everyone here likes a good poop story, but your's is like eeeewww weeeeeee! Have you tried training her to use the bath tub as her litter box? Lola, our female uses it and likes her water somewhat deep. Harry, our male, now prefers the tub with no water. Clean up is easy, the igs are clean and the soaking is beneficial to them as well.

Does she also poop in her cage? If she does, it might be upsetting her that she's done that (in her cage) and wants to get out of it. Igs are not the most graceful things and maybe her walking and/or rolling in it is by accident!?! Have you given her a cage a really really good cleaning lately? Have you put something new in her cage that might be upsetting her? Has anything (small or big) changed in your home recently?

Reagrding your comment about her trying to escape her cage, sounds like she rather be a free roamer than caged by how you describe her behavior (once you put her back in her cage). Harry acts up (like you describe) while he's out in the sun sitting in his cage. He tries to get out. Normally, he loves his cage (feels safe and secure in it).

In closing, I would suggest the bath tub pooping method. And try doing it after work so her food has had time to digest. Don't wait until too close to lights out though. Wouldn't want her to catch a chill!

Good luck.

Sue
