A little over a month ago I was at the pet store, I wasn't looking to get another iguana, but they had just gotten a new shipment of baby igs, and there was one certain one that had caught my eye. all the babys were sitting in the corner of the cage except for one. when I looked in the cage the little guy walked right up to the side of the cage and started checking me out. he was so cute that I got him,and he has been the most curious little guy I have ever seen. out of all my herps he soon became my favorite. This morning he wasn't as active as he usually is, but he looked ok. so I didn't get too concerned. when I got home from work, I noticed that he had sort of a yellowish tint to him, and was having trouble staying his little log that I had set up for his basking spot. I got worried and opened his cage and took him out. He just layed in my hand for about 5 minutes, then he rolled over on his back, started shaking and died. I don't know what happened. yesterday he was fine, active, walking around the house checking out every little thing, and seemed perfectly healthy. today he's dead. does anyone have any idea what could have happened to him? The only thing I can think of is that maybe he eat something that poisoned him, but there is nothing in my house that I know of that could have done that. or at least not that he could into. Does anyone know what could have killed him, I want to find out. That way I can make sure it doesn't happen to any of my other herps.
