First of all, Kell, I'd like to express my sympathy also for your loss. It sounds as if everything food wise was in good shape. You may never know the answer and that is so very hard to accept sometimes...especially if it were somehow preventable so that it can't happen again.

I seem to recall that the yellowish tint you noticed may have something to do with liver problems. Where I read this, I have no idea! I'm always reading things. It may well have been at the site that Kaplan has up. And you didn't have your iguana long enough, in my un-vet opinion, to have caused a liver problem via diet. On the other hand, the yellow color that you saw may have been from carrots you were feeding...if you noticed it shortly afterward (within a day or two). That would be pretty common and not a problem.

If you have ANY plants that would have been accessible, check thru the list of toxic plants and see if any are on it. That might be your answer.

I tend to side with Harry's Dad in that it may have stemmed from a birth problem or something that happened BEFORE coming to live with you.

Again, my sympathy for your loss. Don't be a stranger though! Stay around the forum.
