i agree with harry's Dad!
the regular plastic socket fixtures are *not capable* of handling the amount of wattage that heat lamps put out and that's why your fixtures aren't lasting .... you're over-loading them and it is a *huge* fire hazard!!!! : (
the ceramic sockets shouldn't be much more than the plastic ones ... got mine at Menard's for about $7 .... it's been used all day, every day for over 2 years now ... there's not realy a 'brand name' ... it's just your standard utility clamp light, ceramic socket and aluminun reflector ...
