If you find one that doesn't cost alot, you can always mark it with a colored tape. I heard that feed stores sell them cheap....I'd suggest if you can just get one for your day time needs and one for night. And mark them or get someone who knows electrical and have them install switches in the cords....it's not hard to do and it is safe! Switches are made to carry either 120 or 220 volts through them. You would want 120 and whatever watt bulb or ceramic heater you use won't cause a problem with the switch. If any problem will happen it will be with the size of wire the cord is made from. I would say try to stay with a 12 ga. wire. 12 gauge wire can draw 20 amps and ceramic heaters will be less then that. Check the box on either a bulb or ceramic heater for the amps it uses. I have done my share of electrical work, from installing breakers in a fuse panel to wiring a complete room. Im a building engineer by trade and also do remodels.
