In my VHO, iglets like to be handled

I have a year old iguana and hates to be handled or even looked at for that matter. I don't know what to do I handle him often and yet he is calm in my hand after a while he will be just as mean as when i first went into his cage to get him. Will this igg grow out of this behavior or will it always be aggressive. I use treats (food) to lure him and make him calm but that only works on him wanting to eat, not be handled.
