I posted below about Hercules. He is coming home tomorrow. I am nervous about him banging his stitches out and doing more damage. He is in a 6ft by 5ft wire cage. I have two UVA and one UVB all about 100watt. I also have a warm mist humidifier in the room with him. (He is in a room by himself and the room gets pretty warm and humid--like 80 in the room itself and 65 percent humidity). I put cardboard taped down with packing tape on the inside of the front of the cage. So that when I am open the door and he sees me he doesn't charge the cage bars and bust his stitches. I made sure that it is taped down securly. However, I am worried that the cardboard will heat up and catch on fire? Is that possible? I know that I will have to watch the tape because it might come lose with the humidity. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, do you think this is a potential dangerous situation?
