Hip leash is working great

Thanks, Merlin~!

Yesterday was the first warm and sunny day (that I didn't have to be at work) here in the Mid-Atlantic, so I put the new hip leash on Bud, and took him for a walk around Philly. He seemed very happy and content, not bothered by the leash at all. But then again, I have been putting it on him in the cage and the apartment, and feeding him treats, so he doesn't mind it so much... It hasn't been tested by him yet, in terms of trying to jump off of my shoulder or out of my jacket, but I feel a lot more secure that he won't escape if spooked, or get hurt by the leash.

There's only one thing... I think it's unavoidable, though: any problems with spines and the hip leash? Has anyone had a mishap of that type? The placement of the cord and the spines is the same as it would be in a harness leash, but what can you do? I think it's probably worth the risk.
