Hi there, new to this forum, but not the website. We adopted an iggy 3 weeks ago from the local HS (they call me now since they found out i have lizards). I actually went to go pick up a Savannah monitor, and she asked if i was taking the iguana, too. As soon as I saw him, I knew I had to rescue him, even if we had to adopt him out after rehab. Some kid had him in a *nasty* cage and it was almost starved to death...no muscles...it took 45 minutes of scrubbing with surgical scrub to see the scales... But now "Precious" (yes, he is a male, too!) is eating like a hog (ok, a vegetarian hog) and is very happy :) I'll send pics when they are developed to show progress... I just thank God i work for an exotic vet....
Well what i was wondering is...how do those of you who own rescue operations house multiple igs, since they require so much space, and they can seriously injure each other? I was just curious because when (yes, WHEN) I win the Lotto, I will open a santuary for iguanas. ;p Well, thanks for listening.
