Im very confused. I always thought rescuers had the best intrest of the animal in there heart yet you have posted SEVERAL times that you have males fighting and yet you STILL keep them together? What happens when you come back to find several so injured they are dying? WHY subject the poor iguana's to a life where they are fought each day. Can you explain to me HOW you consider this fair, right, and proper housing of these iguana's do you reccommend to potential adopters to have this policy? Where in the world do you live that you are allowed to have THAT many free roaming reptlies in your home?
:We have various sized cages throughout the entire house, and two free roaming rooms. One is the master bedroom, the other is another smaller bedroom. We have way too many Iguanas to only keep one male per room though. We probably have 20 males free roaming in the main room, and the fights only occur between the same half dozen manly dudes every now and then.
:The second room is used strictly for caged snakes and very weak iguanas.
:We also free roam Monitors and Tortoises with the iguanas...

::I had a portion of my basement converted to walk-in and large cages ranging in size from 6x6x7 to 4x4x4. I also utilize some custom cages that have been surrendered with various lizards and snakes over the years. I have 2 rooms upstairs where I allow freeroamers. This is only after considerable and continued observation to be sure all are getting along. In these rooms there are multiple basking spots and feeding stations. I never allow 2 males direct contact....one male per freeroaming room or cage. I sometimes house 2 females together or a pair if they seem to coexist well and neither seem stressed at all.
