I know that some "rescuers" choose to allow all their iguanas to free-roam together. We do not due to the fact that we feel it is not safe. We have individual cages for all in assorted sizes. The exception to the rule for us is when 2 females seem willing to share space. We have two adult females that partially free-roam, they have a large house with no doors. The girls can come and go at will so they have the ability to get away from each other if they would like. HOWEVER there is also atleast one human around 98% of the time. IMHO There will always be exceptions to the general rules of thumb and some people will have success allowing mulitple igs to free-roam together in a large room BUT I would never in a million years break the rule when it comes to male iguanas. I don't think that the risk of injury is worth taking.
