Ny requires owners of venomous herps, crocdilians,and constrictors/pythons over 10 feet ( as well as tigers, bears, etc.) must register these animals with their local town clerk as of 4/1/03.

I'm not sure if they mean NYC or NYS, but I'm pretty sure that crocs and hots (ven snakes)are banned in NYC, so I'm assuming it is in reference to NYS. Crocodilians includes Crocodiles, Alligators, Caimains, etc. You'd have to get it registered.
