A responsibler herper shouldn't have to worry about the gov't being aware of what you own. I like the regulations, because it keeps the idiots in check and makes sure that if someone does step out of line regarding proper husbandry, they'll get a swift kick up their tooshy ^_~
When ignorant laws get passed, then i'll get my feathers ruffled =)

:In NY you have to have a permit to possess a gator.
:The worse thing about this law is that it gets the state's foot in the door to control what we keep. The initial purpose of the law was so that EMTs, firemen or rescue folks know what to look out for if they have to come into your home. Or at least that is my understanding.
