Differences: Apperance/Behavior ??

Hi all,

I'm the new Ig mommy that posted some questions after my son bought me two Iglets for Christmas....I have a couple other questions that I hope will not sound TO stupid. :)

I'm curious about the differences in my two babies. (ZigMan & Iggy)

ZigMan (the bigger of the two) is about 16 3/4 inches long, very green and attentive. He, of course, likes to perch high on the ladder and usually stands tall and looks around as if taking in the situation outside his tank. Always looking very alert. He's easy to handle and seems to enjoy his bath in the tub, after he's been in a few minutes he stops trying to climb out and prefers the deeper end and likes to just soak himself.

Iggy (the smaller of the two) I haven't messured this one but he's a bit shorter in length and smaller in build...not tiny, just a little smaller. He too likes to bask at the top of the ladder, however, unlike ZigMan he's not as attentive. He sprawls and lets his limbs hang. His head isn't always up like Zig's and he seems somewhat slower. He too is very green, although the top of his head is brown. (this is how I can tell them apart at a glance, without comparing sizes) I'm wondering if I should be concerned about the color of his head.??
He doesn't seem to be as curious as Zig. He also doesn't like his bath time as much as the other one. He panics and runs to the shallowest end and trys constantly to climb out. (the water at both ends of the tub is shallow enough for them to stand in...it's just a bit deeper at one end than at the other. Iggy also has stripes (more prevelent in the bath) around his body from his head to the tip of his tail...Zig does not. I've also mentioned before that Iggy has tiny bright blue dots on either side of his neck....Zig does not.

Okay...have I managed to confuse everyone trying to read this? :)

I am only trying to get a grasp on what the behavior should be and the apperance. I'm hoping that all the above is normal, but if not....I'd like to know what isn't and what I should be doing differently.
I'm also wondering if the differences between the two can tell me if one is more aggressive (or will be) than the other as they grow. At this point though, they're both SO SWEET....just different personalities, so it seems.

I've been trying to get my son to understand that we probably won't be able to keep both little guys....and have had him look at pictures to explain why. He understands but is upset that one of them will have to go. I've tried to get the pet store to take one of them back, but they won't. (I'm going to talk to the owner soon....as I've been a customer for years and spend a lot of money there on all my other animals....LOTS.) I'm hoping she'll agree...but it's still kinda' sad that one will end up back at the pet store. *sigh*

As for diet and enclosure....I've posted that info in my previous postings. They both eat great and I've even seen Zig drink....tho he's very shy about it. *grin*

Thanx again in advance for reading and advising me on my lil' ones. :)

Brenda
