Yeah I was wondering that Myself Im no expert but from my understading It was more like in the thousands $$ for a reliable meter also 12-15 inches is not a safe distance for a merc-vapor bulb out of the available wattages depending on size of bulb more like 5-6 feet if you have a cage for a full size Ig this shouldnt be a problem I would post a pic of my sett-up but I tried to and it said it was too big
