I made the mistake, as many first time iguana owners do, of buying an iguana from a pet shop. The iguanas were fed lettuce. Luckily, before I made the mistake of feeding him the same, I did soem research online for proper iguana diets. Since then, I have fed him fresh food everyday and he has plumped up and looks and acts like a healthy iguana should. There is just one problem. I want to hold him! I never thought to look online for taming instructions, and ever since i put him in his new cage he acts scared and wont let me pick him up or hold him. I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions that maybe you used on your iguana. That way i know that they're "proven effective." I appreciate the help, as I am a 16 year old iguana owner! I never knew it would be such a responsibility, but I am willing to do what it takes to ensure my iguana and I have a long happy relationship. Thanks for all the help!
