she normally does spend most of her time under the UV light. except in the summer, she spends a lot of time in the window sill (she can climb in and out of it on her own). sometimes it is open (screen keeps her in), other times it's closed (i don't know if she gets the UV she needs through a closed window). (i don't think i've ever been sun burned through a closed window, heh.)
when i left, i left her enough food for *maybe* 2 feedings--so i didn't really expect it to stay good. i was gone for six days, so i figured, eat once...maybe twice...and i'd be back after 3 days.
the potty box is fairly large, and full of clean, absorbent material that i *think* should have been ok after 3 defications. (the lizard is usually VERY regular....eat, crap...eat, crap) heh, actually, at the time, my biggest fear was another "revenge crap" on my pillow or something.
