Wow, it's really nice to see how many of you have offered homes to iguanas who NEED them rather than buying from a pet store and adding to a problem...
Buddy became a member of my family when he was found wandering around my neighborhood! I live in Boise, Idaho... so it's basically high-altitude desert. ZERO food for a roaming iguana... When I found her she was VERY VERY thin, was barely moving, had a broken left-front ankle, and all the spikes along her spine were missing. She had mouth-rot, and some other skin disease. She had also lost the last 3 inches or so of her tail.
Within a month she was VERY fat, her ankle (or wrist... whatever it's called on an ig) was better, her mouth-rot was healed, skin was better, and her spikes/tail were growing back.
I took this picture on Dec 17th.
