ACTIVE UV BULB-NOT SO ACTIVE!

I have used my Active UV bulb for only about 3 months
and it stopped working this morning. It flickered and went
of and on and then just pooped out. Imagine my frustration
when I got up this morning and Beanies light was not on. I
messed with the light a few times and it came on but then went
back off. I thought these were suppose to last close to 1 year?
Anyone else had the same problem? These are expensive and
I would hate to have to replace them every 3 months.
