First, I too am having problems with my mercury bulb! It must have something to do with seasons? maybe the earth's magnetic field???? anywho, I have a Zoomed powersun 160 watt but it is flood. Do you mean they do not make 100 spots yet??
:Well they are warrantied for a year. Unfortunately it is pro-rated which means you have to send them a check for the time it worked (they calculate if for you if you call) and then they will send you a new one. It is cheaper than buying another one, but it keeps you giving them money which sucks! It is ironic you write this now because mine just gave out too....much too early and it is the 2nd one that did this! So I am really annoyed. My first one lasted 2 months and broke apart from the base and my 2nd one just gave out after maybe 4 months. I figure I will still send it back because I have not used my money's worth yet (well I probably never will but I would like to keep them for a year). It takes them a couple weeks to get it to you though. I think I will have to get another Zoomed 5.0 light in the meantime. In all the years I've used those lights, I've never had one fail! I would like to try the Zoomed Powersun bulb but they don't make it in 100watt yet.
