I have been using powersuns for a little over 7 months now. I use the 160watt due to the height and width of my cages. However, I have had over the last six month a fifty percent failure rate, due to the filaments burning out. So that is three out of six bulbs gone bad.
But, ZooMed has been very accomodating by taking back the bulbs and shipping me new ones. I just have to pay to ship them back. I don't know if they do that as a rule or if they just like me or if I just complain the right way.
Also, I have talked with others who are having the same problem with Powersuns going dead after six months.
As far as I can tell, none of the UV heat type bulbs are doing that great as far as longevity, but they certain see to benefit the lizards.
