That kinda contradicts what you said earlier about the temperature always being the same...
Anyways, if the temps were too cold, they weren't warm enough to metabolize/digest the food, leading to the food rotting in their gut, which leads to death.
It happens with crocodilians fed at night in water too cold or with temps too cold. The following day they are found dead due to food rotting in their belly because the body was not warm enough to process it.
So if you did the mistake of keeping temperatures too cold, it sounds like a very good cause and effect. Iguanas to start with, hate changes, so the new home thing could have caused stress. That added to what seems to be a change in temps led to their demise.
Sorry for your igs, but I'm still confused since you did mention the temperatures as being the same in the first post. (?)
