Kenya was not growing up as much as I wanted her to grow.Less than 1 inch a month!!
To make her grow up I took some fresh poop from Godzilla's cage and put in her cage.Godzilla is 6 years old and is very healthy. Baby Kenya licked the poop, made a YEAK face and started growing 2 inches a month.Why?According to some books I read the adult iguanas have some good bacterias in its intestines, that increase an optimum absorption of the food vitamins and nutrients.Baby igs dont have that but will acquire it from the poop of the adult iguanas.IF they live in a forest with other adult iguanas.If a baby is alone in a cage it'will be much more difficult to it to acquire these bacterias.

To me this makes sense!!I measured Kenya on the 18 October.She was 47 cm.Now she is 52.She grew 5 cm=2 inches in one month!!
Brazilian iguana people also give poop from a healthy iguanas to sick ones in cases of diarhea.

:My little iguana is really small for his age. He had some early trauma in his life and his growth is not what should be, he is also far too skinny. I have been giving him a good diet and calcuim supplements, a UV light and a basking lamp. He does eat, and have seen him eating a whole dandelion leave!, also loves strawberries.

:Just feels to me that he is growing very slow from what i read from other people, and other ig's i have seen around the same age. I went to a pet store and the person there told me that he feeds his ig some meal worms 2x a week. they realy look very good and fat, and a lot bigger than my ig. Now i have read ig's for dummies and the green iguana manual and every where else, everybody say no insects or worms. I just need to get my little guy fattened up and growing, Am i just too impatient.
