I do think that red bulbs are better. I use red for my
1 tortoise and 4 aquatic turtles. The reason I use blue
for Beanie is because this is what her previous owner used
so I thought I would keep things a little stable at first.
You are right though, I probably can go without any light at
all because I have the ceramic heater. I am wondering if
I should even maybe kick it down to to about 75 degrees instead
of 80 for nighttime.

What do ya think? :)
