IMO sounds like your temps are just fine. 80 will keep him nice and warm at night, a plus if you are (like me)prone to giving little goodies in the evening. The warmer temps will let digestion work better. As far as the lights I am not convinced that any light is invisible to the herps as is claimed. I have a friend who used the red night lights and her bearded dragons routinely looked straight at the bulbs. She has since gone to CHE's and they do not look at those.
