I wish I could give you hope about the behavior. It is always tough to guess how long it will last-- depends on your ig!
Harry the Horrible whose owner used to post here often is the only iguana I remember who never went out of breeding season from a few years ago. He is quite a handsome & scarey looking monster too. I used to think they were joking when they said they wore welding gloves to handle him and only a certain colored shirt. Now I realize they were not.
I do not tell you this story to scare you but rather to make you feel better so that when your cute iguana snaps out of breeding mode, you will be thankful it didn't last forever like notorious Harry the Horrible!
