My ig has been in breeding season since July. I adopted him last November so this is our first breeding season together. Ginger is 4 years old (Ginger is a HE - 5' STL). although my iguana has not shown the aggression toward me that you describe - he has otherwise been a BRAT due to his restlessness - stomping around, won't stay in his enclosure without nose banging or destroying something - he knocks his food dishes about, ripped his wall covering off, poop painting (& surfing) ...last night I got home from work to find he'd yanked one of his 36" UVB tubes & half the fixture out from his ceiling! thank god no injury to the iguana, nothing was broken (thanks to soft surface flooring). I wired & tied the fixture back together & put him in the bath to clean the poop off him.
the good news is the moodiness comes & goes within the months he's been in season -
at least that's been my experience. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!! be patient.
is that a picture of Dexter? he is GORGEOUS. how old is he?
