Several times now Beanie has jumped from the top basking area
to the floor (her cage is 6 1/2 feet). Several times she has
gone SPLAT into the glass door before she falls. She did this
yesterday again while I was on the computer. The strange thing
is she should be used to glass enclosures as she was in a 50
gallon tank before ending up at the humane society. Except
for the doors and glass on half of the back panel, it is wood.
I am concerned she is going to hurt herself. I really do not
want to cover the glass so she cannot see out. Will she
eventually learn that she cannot get through? Is there real
danger of her getting hurt? I think she was trying to get out
to me because where I was positioned if the glass was not there
she would have landed on my back or head. She is not aggressive
but is very stubborn when she wants something. Your thoughts?
