We all know that Igs dislike change in their environment but I didn't realize just how extreme it could be. With all the talk of Iguana pillows, we made Zok a pillow to put on his basking shelf. Foam rubber covered in neutral gray material. We put it in the cage while he was having his bath. When I went to put him back in his cage he took one look at the pillow and BOOM! My normally calm Ig suddenly turned into a green missile! Went totally ballistic! Once I caught up with him and got him calmed down I took the pillow out And covered it up with the towel he has used as a bed for the past year and put it back in the cage assuming that if he couldn't see it no problem. WRONG!!!!!!!!! Little stinker took one look at the towel and away he went again. He knew I was trying to pull a fast one on him and he wasn't buying it! Who says Igs aren't smart! Finally took the pillow out and put the towel back. Two hours later he still wouldn't get back up on his shelf so I had to even take his towel out! At this moment he is still sitting on one of his branches eyeing the shelf in distrust. Poor stressed out guy!
