oh yes.... they are like birds and are very paranoid and afraid of new things! They eventually warm up to most items once they realize the item isn't going to kill them! Sleestack doesn't like it when I carry anything very large near his cage, but he is not afraid of me using a hand vac 1 inch from him in his cage while he sits there. He used to be terrified of a blue towel, but after much coaxing, he is no longer afraid of it. They are very strange!
