::We all know that Igs dislike change in their environment but I didn't realize just how extreme it could be. With all the talk of Iguana pillows, we made Zok a pillow to put on his basking shelf. Foam rubber covered in neutral gray material. We put it in the cage while he was having his bath. When I went to put him back in his cage he took one look at the pillow and BOOM! My normally calm Ig suddenly turned into a green missile! Went totally ballistic! Once I caught up with him and got him calmed down I took the pillow out And covered it up with the towel he has used as a bed for the past year and put it back in the cage assuming that if he couldn't see it no problem. WRONG!!!!!!!!! Little stinker took one look at the towel and away he went again. He knew I was trying to pull a fast one on him and he wasn't buying it! Who says Igs aren't smart! Finally took the pillow out and put the towel back. Two hours later he still wouldn't get back up on his shelf so I had to even take his towel out! At this moment he is still sitting on one of his branches eyeing the shelf in distrust. Poor stressed out guy!

:Sorry to hear Zok got all stressed; Joey did almost the same thing. He has a stuffed frog that he sleeps on and I thought I would put a little soft comfy baby blanket in there with him as well; however Joey absolutely panicked. He raced up and down his cage, climbed all over the place like he was being chased by the devil himself. He started to calm down and I thought everything would be okay. When I checked in on him later he had pooped all over the blanket. Joey has never pooped in his cage since the week after I got him. Well, needless to say he won, and the blanket was removed. He climbed right back up on his frog and has been happy ever since. Go figure...*smiles*.
