My rescued iggy STILL isnt Eating... PLEASE READ, PLEASE!!!

alright, two sundays ago i got a male green iguna rescue. he's NOT eating. he's wild as can be huffin and puffin the moment i get too close. the attitude is alright for now. i want him good and healthy before i start handling or lemme rephrase that eating good. he already is healthy and STRONG. but he's just not eating. any tricks on getting them to eat? and tips on taming this guy down? he's about 32inches long with 4inches of tail missing i would guess. he's real pretty. so how do i get him to eat and whats the best way to start taming him?
