Your aren't having very good luck. Your dragon could be brumating (saw your post on other forum). Weigh him and if he isn't losing weight and prefers to sleep and be in the cool side of the tank, chances are he is brumating. It's good to get a fecal check done before you let them go down.
Your iguana rescue is probably stressed, but do you have any idea what he ate before you got him? He may have had a different and very crappy diet...so he isn't used to what you feed him now. If you can find out what he ate, try mixing some of that in with his new veggies. If you can't, keep trying different kinds of veggies and fruits to tempt him. As one poster below mentioned, you can try blending his food up or trying different consistencies. Good luck. If you haven't had him checked for parasites, this could be hurting his appetite as well. Take a fresh fecal sample to the vet.
:alright, two sundays ago i got a male green iguna rescue. he's NOT eating. he's wild as can be huffin and puffin the moment i get too close. the attitude is alright for now. i want him good and healthy before i start handling or lemme rephrase that eating good. he already is healthy and STRONG. but he's just not eating. any tricks on getting them to eat? and tips on taming this guy down? he's about 32inches long with 4inches of tail missing i would guess. he's real pretty. so how do i get him to eat and whats the best way to start taming him?
:thx for ALL replies.
