Heres another one. Two weeks ago I was in pet store that helps me with my rescues. They always have pets free to good homes (and they DO check) two little girls came in and wanted to take the current FTG bunny. The informed the girls at the pet store that since they were letting their kitty free that night they were sure that their mom would let them have the bunny. See they had to get rid of their 3 month old kitten because it peed all over the place. The worst part was the kids seemed to have no problem with dumping one animal for another. The oldest was 10 and the younger one was 7. Great parenting

:Then you have people like a guy I work with....he's not cruel, but he DOESN'T THINK! He bought a pure bred lab puppy and tons of supplies a year ago--kept it for a couple months and decided it was too much responsibility--gave it away. Two weeks ago he buys a pug purebred & tons of supplies again, rationalizing this would be less work because the dog is smaller...huh? He gave it away this weekend! Can we say impulse?
