Look, I stated from the begining that this was MY opinion. No one had or has to agree with me. I am avidly AGAINST spiders. Always have been. I much prefer Snakes, lizards, frogs, toads, birds, bats, and whatever else that do the same exact thing, keep bugs under control. Granted, They exist and there's not much I can do about that. But PERSONALLY! I'd be much happier without them. You like them, I don't and that's not gonna change. My Co-workers think I need a rubber room for having an Ig! To each their own. If I offended you, I'm sorry. It wasn't meant as an insult, but rather a smart comment to be laughed at. I wasn't expecting anything else. Please forgive the offence as it wasn't meant intentionally. But As far as feeling sorry for me that I don't like them? Don't. It's just my preference. And As far as their "Place in the eco-system", Other animals do the same thing, so I won't warm up to them for that either. Once again, I'm sorry If My opinion offends you. But It's just that, My Opinion.
:I can understand not liking a particular animal. Kinda. But I have owned tarantulas for years and have not found anything nicer and easier to take care of. I feel sorry for you if your dislike for spiders is that bad. I can tell you from experience, spiders are HARMLESS. Only a few can hurt ya and they are even few and far between. Spiders possess a special place in the eco-system and help keep the fly/bug population to a minimum, believe it or not. Just imagine what going outdoors would be like if spiders did not exist. Also, I am a bit offended that you think people who like spiders need a rubber room. Thats a bit much. We are among the few who truly understand and appreciate this misunderstood and illogically feared creature. In my opinion, that tarantula that jiffypop posted is absolutely dropdead gorgeous and any avid arachn-er would be proud to have.
