I am very interested in acquring an Ig. I have had turtles for
many years so I know how important husbandy, diet, etc is.
I bought the book written by Melissa Kaplan and could not put
it down. My question is do Iguanas really get as nasty as I
have read over and over? I just read a post about the owner
feeling like they are a prisoner in their own home because of
an adult Ig biting as such. I think she said she received 13
stitches. I am a little afraid of having one because at full
grown it would be much bigger than me(not weight wise though)
at least several feet taller. I would not to be terrorized :)
Can you give me some insight and maybe some advice. I have
a great respect for them and would give a rescue ig a wonderful
home if I can get past this fear. I am going to Wisconsin this
weekend for demonstrations and info give-away for Iguana
Awareness Day.
