Some of them can be very dangerous. I know of one lady that lost an entire finger to one. Some of them can turn out to be real monsters and some real cream-puffs. Unfortunately you may not discover which you have until you've put a lot of time, money, and heart into it. There are no guarantees with an iguana. If you really have that much fear of the animal you probably ought to reconsider. But only you know how deep that fear is. Fear is a very hard thing to overcome. If the Ig senses your fear and realizes he can back you down then you can be in a lot of trouble. You might be better off with some thing a little less intimidating. Just my 2 cents.
