Ok, I know I'm opening a pandoras box here, but I've heard conflicting opinions on iggy leashes, pro and con. I would feel more comfortable using a leash because I have a dog, 2 cats and it would be dangerous for an iguana to be loose around my home. What is the general opinion on that? I heard that they will lose a couple of spines due to the rubbing, but I feel that I would rather lose a couple of spines than the whole Iguana!!
My husband brought home a very soft suede leash for Kiwi. He's a baby iguana I just got. It fits well, but he hates it of course. Should I start getting him used to it now? Once I get it on him, which takes awhile because I have to watch out for those tiny toes, he is very comfortable and happy and I can keep him on my shoulder without worry. He hung out happily for at least an hour the other night while I did the dishes!
What are the thoughts on this, I am VERY new to iguana ownership (I think Kiwi owns me, not the opposite!)
