Whether or not iguanas can is sort of moot--you can.
Considering that so many insect-vectored diseases are so difficult to diagnose (too many of the tests are as apt to give false negatives as false positives) and treat, care should be taken. If you're feeling comfy because your state doesn't yet show up as one that already has documented WNV-related deaths, the feds have only just realized it is spreading faster than they thought it was.
