I know some types of tegus are easier to tame then others...I had a black and white tegu that you couldnt even get your hand to the cover of the tank to feed him before you try to bite you. He would hide under the mulch...as soon as you touch that lid...he would spring up from underneath and try to get you. I heard some have been tamed. Thats where I got the sour apple for biting. I was bit a few times from my tegu. I have seen a couple of tame ones though.

:: even tho I know you are not really new here. I'm looking forward to new input and ideas...maybe a fresh way to look at some things. I'm also going to guess that your presence will spice things up a bit.
:: I'm jif, real ID is Jane. I've been working with herps for about 6 years, doing serious rescue and rehab for 5. The internet has been a God-send in those 5 years. My personal interests are Cyclura iguanas and Tegus, both awesome animals, but GGI's will always hold a special place in my heart (maybe that's why there's more than a dozen here right now). Anyway, welcome to you and your associates. Let's have some iguana fun!
