I get the nylon covered bands...what ones are you talking about and where can you get them and what are the brand names? I'm not ashamed to wear a pink or purple band in my hair, more ashamed to have no hair.

:There are "rubber" bands made of plastic instead of natural rubber latex, which aren't grippy like rubber can be and don't pull out your hair.
:Baumgarten makes a brand called Plastibands sold as non-marking rubber bands for archival purposes and can be found or ordered at office supply companies. They are brightly colored and come in several different sizes.
:Cosmopolitan, like the women's magazine, is another company that makes them, and they can be found with other hair bands, clips, ornaments, etc. They are about 3 times the cost but come in shades that blend more easily into your hair.
:Flavia, since Malaysia is the natural rubber capital of the world, I wonder if they sell similar products where you live?
