A few ?'s here....
What goes in....
1: I've read that raspberries are VERY good for our critters....If I buy them frozen and add them to the salad before they thaw (a little more moisture) Do I need to add the brewers yeast? I mean, it's only what 10 or 20% of the total salad, will the brewers yeast hurt them if it's not needed?
2: Can I cut back on the alfalfa pellets? I use Guinea pig pettets because of the extra vit. C. But i don't know if I'm using too much, because the salad starts to look like Mulch once the pellets start to break down! I think my igs choke it down because it's on top of their greens, and under their Green onion choppings! It just doesn't look that appitizing about the 2nd day. I have to make a double batch of MK's salad about every 3 days or so. It looks great when I just make it, but then.......
3: Are ferns poisonus? We're building a shelf out in the livingroom, and I'd like to put a dense hanging plant over one side of it, because the moron dogs freak poor Dar and Fondue out when they sit and stare!
What comes out....
1: Has anyone tried to paper train thier igs? I've thought that maybe I'll put a large tub filled with warm water on top of the newspaper, and slowly take the water out of the tub, and then, remove the tub altogether, leaving just the newspaper, then, move the paper to it's desired resting spot. I'm sick of finding surprises, but my igs are just too huge to put into a dishpan to train them!!!
