Well I am glad to see everyone here doesn't think this is a problem. I know that the Zoomed 5.0 light isn't a problem as I have used it for years. I have been wondering about the safety of the Active UV light, myself. I have a hard time looking in my cage and avoid looking at the bulb directly (as it says on the package and because it feels like I will go blind when I accidentally glance at it) SO, I do worry about Sleestack being so close to it all day. I know reptiles are very different from humans so this may not be an issue. The truth is we may not find out the negatives of this bulb until the next generation of iguanas reaches adulthood underneath them. They seem to be plenty beneficial from what we can see, but time will be the true test.
