Hi everyone,
I am very new to this forum, but I am really glad I have found it. My ig, Sebastian, is going through a full body shed right now. He has not been through one in a while, so I am very happy he is finally shedding. The problem is, his spikes are not shedding very easily. In the past (I've had him for over 12 years), I have pretty much been able to just pull up on them and they would come right off. Now they seem to be sticking and need to be peeled off. I was curious if anyone else has ever had this problem and what they did. I am thinking it may be humidity related since I had humidity issus in the past and his spikes split (unfortunately, I live in Chicago and it can be difficult to get good levels with our winters and an old house). I have made an appointment with my vet, which Sebastian is WAY overdue for, but thought I'd check with everyone else since my vet visit is not until a week from Saturday.
Thanks for any help!!
Melissa
