A few months ago Thorn, my 2 years old ig, bit me on the neck.Yes, my poor neck.It was not a serious bite, it didnt bleed but the problem was he didnt want to release my flesh!!And I couldnt go to work with an iguana hanging on my neck!!!Can you imagine my Boss's face when I entered HIS room?!!
I didnt know what to do to force him to release my neck's flesh!!Each time I tried to force him to open his mouth he closed his mouth with more strength. So I filled up the bath tub, I entered the water with him hanging on my neck and only when I submerged him (with me) in the water he opened his mouth and released my neck!!
From now on each time she opens his mouth to bite me I GENTLY slap his snout. After being slapped 2 or 3 times he never dares bite me again!!!

The problem was ag There used to be talk about a method on training nile monitors and tegus from not biting...that was using a sour apple spray, but I dont know if that would work with iguanas. Being your iguana doesnt know you too well...and they are capable of infliciting serious wounds requiring stitches, I would probably recommend go a bit slower if he is biting.
